About our San Luis insulation contractor crew

Closed-cell foam insulation coats attic floor channels around exposed ducts and timber framing.

Why I came back to insulation work

I worked on insulation crews when I was young, then spent years in other work before I came back to the trade and started B&T in San Luis in 2021. Coming back after time away, I saw the work with fresh eyes, and what stood out was how often a job gets done in the wrong order. So we do every step in order here.

Most of our calls come from people with a hot room upstairs, a room over the garage that won't cool off, or a power bill that climbs all through a San Luis summer, plus some property managers with commercial buildings. We're best known for attic work, air sealing and spray foam, and you can see everything we do on our home page. I'd rather talk you out of work you don't need than sell it to you.

What you can expect from us

  • I come out and tell you straight

I look at every job in person and tell you plainly what your house needs and what it doesn't. If a job isn't worth the money, you'll hear that from me, even when it means less work for us.

  • Problems come up at the estimate

We check for leaks, old wiring and problem insulation before we quote, so you hear about trouble before the crew starts instead of after. Those safety checks get done before anybody seals your house up tight.

  • Gaps sealed first, insulation second

We close the gaps around lights, pipes and the attic hatch before any new insulation goes in, because burying a draft under fresh material just hides it. A crew lead runs the install, and I check the work at the end.

Licensing, insurance and permits

Serving San Luis Since 2021

  • Licensed and insured

Licensed and insured. Our crew works up in your attic around wiring and framing, so it's fair to ask about coverage when I come out for the estimate.

  • City permits and inspections

Before work starts, we check with the building office in the city where the job is, and if a permit is needed, we pull it and set up the inspections. In San Luis, work started before a permit is issued can bring an investigation fee starting at $100.00 on top of the permit fee, so we settle that question first.
